Creamsicle Orange Frost

This Creamsicle Orange Frost is a creamy homemade Orange Julius copycat made with orange juice, milk, vanilla, and ice. Ready in just 5 minutes, it's the perfect refreshing summer drink!

Ingredients
  

  • 1 12 ounce can frozen orange juice concentrate, thawed (or 1 cup prepared orange juice for a lighter flavor)
  • 1 cup whole milk
  • 1 large pasteurized egg (see Recipe Note below)
  • ¼ cup granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2½-3 cups ice cubes

Instructions
 

  • Add the thawed orange juice concentrate, milk, sugar, pasteurized egg, vanilla, and ice cubes to a blender.
  • Blend on high for 1–2 minutes until the drink becomes thick, creamy, and very frothy.
  • Taste and adjust sweetness if needed.
  • Pour into chilled glasses.
  • Serve immediately with an orange slice or a dollop of whipped cream if desired.

Notes

Recipe Note About the Egg:

This recipe uses a raw egg, similar to the original Orange Julius recipe. For food safety, it's best to use a pasteurized egg. If you prefer not to use raw egg, substitute one of these:
  • 2 tablespoons pasteurized liquid egg product
  • 2 tablespoons vanilla Greek yogurt
  • 2 tablespoons heavy cream (slightly less frothy but equally delicious)
