Banana Split Pancakes
Equipment

- whisk or ekectric mixer

- griddle or non stick skillet

- topping station with small plates and bowls
Ingredients
For the Pancakes
- 1 cup all purpose flour
- 2 tablespoon sugar
- 1 tablespoon baking powder
- ½ tsp salt
- 1 cup whole milk
- 1 large egg
- 2 tablespoon melted butter
- 1 ripe banana
- ½ teaspoon vanilla extract
For the Toppings
- 1 ripe banana sliced
- sliced strawberries
- chopped pineapple
- strawberry syrup
- chocolate syrup
- whipped cream
- chopped nuts and marachino cherries for garnish
Instructions
- In a mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.
- In a seperate bowl, combine the milk, egg, melted butter, mashed banana, and vanilla extract.
- pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients until just combined. Be careful not to overmix.
- Heat a non stick skillet or griddle over medium high heat and lightly grease it with butter or oil.
Pour about a ¼ cup of batter for each pancake onto the skillet.
- Cook until bubbles form on the surface, flip and cook until golden brown on the other side. Repeat the steps with the remaining batter.
To Assemble the Pancakes
- Stack the pancakes on a plate.
- Top with banana and strawberry slices, pineapple, drizzle with syrup, and top with a gererous dollop of whipped cream and a cherry
