Crock Pot Chicken Tacos
I got this recipe from a homeschooling friend of mine, Diana. This recipe does not disappoint! This tender and flavorful chicken sits in the crockpot for the day while the wonderful flavors just combine so nicely. Perfect for those weeknights when you're looking for something quick and comforting!
Equipment
- crock pot/slow cooker
- cutting board
- sharp knife
- measuring cups
- large spoon or tongs
- 2 forks to shred the chicken
- 1 ladle to pour all of that flavorful cooking liquid on the chicken!
Ingredients
- 6-8 chicken breasts
- 1 cup mild chunky salsa
- 1 packet of taco seasoning
- ¼ cup ranch dressing
- 16 soft tacos
Instructions
- 1. Place the chicken breasts in the crockpot and season them with the taco seasoning.
- 2. Pour the cup of salsa over top of the chicken and cook on low for 8 hours.
- 3. Shred the chicken with two forks and add in the ranch dressing.
- Fill the soft taco shells with this delicious chicken, mexican cheese, (I used a blend of cheddar jack) shredded lettuce, diced tomato, any any other toppings you like!
